The Ridge at Wizard Lake

In 2019, Clarity Development Advisory commenced work on an Outline Plan to facilitate a lakefront country residential development on a 28-hectare parcel on the north shore of Wizard Lake in Leduc County, Alberta. Over a two-year process, Clarity collaborated with the landowner and municipality to design a residential community conforming with the vision and policies of the Leduc County Municipal Development Plan and Wizard Lake Area Structure Plan. The development concept was formed through thorough analyses including geotechnical, stormwater management design, and biophysical aimed at high-performing low-impact development practices to ensure the ongoing health of the lake and its environment.

Clarity also led a transparent planning process to ensure local stakeholders were engaged and informed. This involved numerous meetings with county councillors and stakeholders, creating engaging information packages, site visits with the local lake stewardship association, public notifications, and open houses to ensure constraints and challenges were identified and addressed in the development.
